Drinks reception in white and gold

Beneath light drapes, the ceiling vanished behind cascades of white flowers, from which hung dark chandeliers and teardrop-shaped glass lamps. The tables, mirror-topped or glass, were dressed with tulips in tall vases, slim candles in golden holders, golden glasses and napkins in gold rings on beaded chargers.

Between the round tables rise two-tier pillars of flowers and, at the far end, arches of white flowers and foliage frame a table of high-backed armchairs in white and gold. A foliage panel with white flowers and the gold TA monogram signs off the whole.
