Tukayana Bragança

40th birthday

The decor revolved around the world of The Great Gatsby, in black, gold and light. On the round tables in black cloths, gold ruffled-edge charger plates, gold cutlery and a menu card tucked into the napkin; at the centre, tall structures of gold foliage and white orchids, between gold chairs with geometric backs.

Overhead, a draped fabric ceiling and curtains of white and gold fairy lights wrap the hall, with tall sequinned tables, round-backed stools and a lit dance floor. The cake, in Art Deco lines of gold on black, is framed by ostrich feathers, gold bottles and strings of pearls.
