António Júlio

80th birthday

The theme of sailing through life shows in every corner. At the entrance, a plank jetty with thick ropes, white pebbles and rope lanterns gives way to navy drapes and a white ship’s wheel among flowers; inside, a net strung with lights covers the dance floor, with a compass rose set into it, and the stage is dressed in striped curtains with a neon Happy Birthday sign.

The tables are dressed in blue and white striped runners, rope, candles and white vases of blue roses and white flowers, and a miniature fishing boat sails among blue roses. The cake, in blue watercolour with a gold anchor, rests on netting, and a lounge with a log-framed sofa and anchor cushions rounds off the setting.
