The white panel with the logo and the motto “Juntos somos mais fortes” was given a garland of foliage and white flowers, with clear plinths full of greenery at its foot and palms in white planters on the timber deck. Beside it, the lounge: curved white sofas with channelled backs, round poufs and small tables on gold legs, beneath crystal lamps hanging from black stems.

Across the terrace, tall tables in white linen and stools with round backs and gold legs, cut-crystal tumblers with a rose and a candle. At night, dinner was served at round tables, with gold chargers, napkins knotted over the black menu and framed table numbers.
