On the sand, glass tables and round-backed wooden chairs were dressed with runners of lilac, pink and white flowers, clear candelabra, pink napkins and gold cutlery. At the entrance, a glass panel bearing the number 45 and the word “Primaveras” and a round mass of blooms offer a welcome.

Beneath a canopy of white drapes, gold chandeliers wrapped in gypsophila and lilac flowers hang above the tables. Further along, gold cages and a cushioned lounge dug into the sand, ringed with gold paper bags, set the scene for conversation; at nightfall, strings of yellow lights cover the beach.
