A dirt track set the tone: arches of foliage with pink orchids and a hanging chandelier, handwritten wooden signposts and a bicycle with a basket of flowers. At the entrance, fanned palm leaves framed the H&D monogram, between arched mirrors and a wooden table with a bouquet of wild flowers.

In the open-air hall, olive-green drapes covered the ceiling and walls, with golden chandeliers and flowering rings of foliage above the white dance floor. Round tables with cane-backed chairs, tall candles in glass cylinders, the couple’s mirrored table, a lounge of cream sofas and, beside the pool, the white cake on a mirrored table.
