Dino Matrosse

80th birthday

The garden became the hall. A pavilion of pale blue drapes, with a crystal chandelier, opened the space; further on, a stone pergola was covered in hanging foliage and straw lampshades, which at the end of the day cast a warm glow over the long table. On the tables, clear chairs, crystal-rimmed plates and tall arrangements of gypsophila, white roses and green leaves.

There were corners for conversation, with pale armchairs, fringed throws and a mirrored and gold coffee table, and displays of fruit and basketry on yellow and purple printed fabric. The cake, a blue radio topped with the 80 candle, glows under a golden chandelier, among foliage and lilac light.
