Mr. Abílio

Beneath a canopy of white drapes, two long, pale-clothed tables run side by side across the grass, flanked by chairs and benches upholstered in white, with studded trim. Crystal-and-gold chandeliers hang from the ceiling and bring the space to life as the day darkens.

At the table, everything is in the detail: gold-rimmed plates, gilded cutlery, linen napkins held by a white orchid, and a mirrored runner with ribbed glass vases, candles in glass holders and orchids all along the table. At the far end, a glass table with mirrored cubes and gold stands closes the view; as night falls, the pale blue of the drapes gives way to a warm, rosy tone.
